AXA IM to strengthen Americas Offshore business with new distribution hire

February 5, 2018 – AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), a global asset management company with $866 billion in assets under management*, announced today the appointment of Mike Acker to the role of Americas National Accounts Manager as part of AXA IM’s Americas Distribution Team. Mike will report to Marcello Arona, Head of AXA IM Inc. and CFO for AXA IM in the Americas.
Mike joins AXA IM from Atlantic Financial Partners, where he was an investment management consultant working with asset managers including AXA IM. He was responsible for on-boarding funds and accessing various broker dealer, private bank and RIA distribution channels. Prior to that, he was at Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management for over eight years, where he was responsible for managing the largest global offshore UCITS platform with $30bn in AUM. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from LaSalle University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Temple University.

Mike will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with key wirehouses, independent broker dealers, RIAs, and regional private banks, to support growing investments in AXA IM’s core capabilities. He will also manage the on-boarding and client reporting processes for all new distributors, as well as maintain the required infrastructure for AXA IM’s expanding partnerships with Americas Offshore clients. His appointment underpins AXA IM’s continued commitment to the Americas and its investment in continuing to expand and grow its Americas Offshore business.
Mike will be based in AXA IM’s Americas Headquarters in Greenwich, CT.
